sRole
of Ultracet:
Medications such as Ultracet are used
to relieve a person of pain. This medication
is usually used to treat pains in the
head, neck and shoulder region. It is
used to treat pains for a temporary
period (around 5 days).
The main ingredients in Ultracet include:
acetaminophen (tat is contained in Tylenol),
and tramadol (a narcotic reliever for
pain).
Expecting mothers need to be careful
to consult their doctors when they want
to take Ultracet. This is because it
may have adverse effects on them. Also,
breast feeding mothers should not take
Ultracet because it would automatically
be fed to the children.
You need to be careful regarding the
doses of Ultracet you take. Dosages
higher than what is suitable for you
are harmful. You should also avoid taking
medications like tranquilizers, sleeping
pills, sedatives, and antihistamines
unless your doctor allows you to.
The chief contents in Ultracet (acetaminophen
and tramadol) may cause drowsiness,
and such medicines may worsen things.
Side Effects:
Mild side effects experienced while
using Ultracet include: drowsiness,
dizziness, and constipation.
You would need immediate
medical attention if you experience
severer side effects such as:
• skin rash,
• hallucinations,
• confusion,
• itching,
• yellowing of the skin or eyes,
• changes in mood or behavior,
• dark urine or pale stools,
• unusual tiredness.
Get immediate medical attention if
you have difficulty breathing or swallowing,
seizures, or swelling of face or mouth.
Ultracet should be stored at room
temperature. You should not try to
make up for missed doses of Ultracet.
After skipping a dose, just continue
with your scheduled dosage. Don't
take two doses. Call your doctor if
your symptoms do not improve.
