   Why to Buy Retin-A: Chemistry, Ingredients, Dosage ?


Ageing skin is one of the things that people do not want. As soon as there are signs of these on a person’s face, using Retin-A is effective in removing them. There is believed to be significant difference visible when one uses Retin-A, and it is expected that after using the medicine for at least 3 weeks wrinkles begin to diminish.

Ingredients:
The chief ingredient in Retin-A is Tretinoin: it is a yellow or light orange crystalline powder. It has an odor that is quite different because of its floral effect. Tretinoin dissolves in dimethylsulfoxide. It is slightly soluble in polyethylene glycol 400, and is completely soluble in 100% ethanol. Tretinoin does not dissolve in water and mineral oil and glycerin.
Tretinoin’s chemical name is (all-E)-3,7?dimethyl-9?(2,6,6?trimethyl-1?cyclonexen-1?yl)-2,4,6,8?nonatetraenoic acid. It is also known as all-trans?retinoic acid (C20H28O2; molecular weight 300.44 vitamin A acid.

Chemistry:
Though the main ingredient of Retin-A is in a crystalline powdered form (Tretinoin), Retin-A is available in the form of a Cream, Gel and Liquid. All three applications may be used to treat acne vulgaris.
Retin-A Gel has the main ingredient (retinoic acid, vitamin A acid) in two possible strengths; either it will be in 0.025% or 0.01% by weight. It will also be in a gel of hydroxypropyl cellulose, butylated hydroxytoluene and alcohol 90% w/w.
Retin-A cream that contains retuning, has the ingredient in three types of strengths: 0.1%, 0.05%, or 0.025% by weight. It is in a hydrophilic cream consisting of:
• satiric acid,
• isopropyl microstate,
• polyoxyl 40 stearate,
• stearyl alcohol,
• xanthan gum,
• sorbic acid,
• butylated hydroxytoluene,
• purified water.

Retin-A Liquid consists of tretinoin with a 0.05% weight, butylated hydroxytoluene, polyethylene glycol 400 and alcohol.

Dosage:
You are not advised to use Retin-A Drug with other skin products that contains alcohol. This is because of the alcohol interference that could take place.
You should not use Retin-A with skin products that contain any of the following ingredients:
• sulfur,
• salicylic acid,
• resorcinol.

These ingredients can lead to drying and irritation to the skin.

• If you happen to miss out on a dose of Retin-A, you should take the missed dose as soon as you think of it. Also remember that it is pointless to go ahead with a missed dose when it is almost time for your next dose. Do not "double-up" and take both doses close together
• You should not use Retin-A if you have a rash that has been caused by exfoliant or keratolytic treatments.
• You need to remove all make up before using Retin-A.
• In case you are pregnant or plant to get pregnant you should consult your doctor first.
• Retin-A is not to be left around children, as it is something that should not go in one’s eyes, mouth or open sores. It should also be stored away at room temperature and not be exposed to sunlight.
