Ageing skin is one of the things that
people do not want. As soon as there
are signs of these on a person’s
face, using Retin-A is effective in
removing them. There is believed to
be significant difference visible
when one uses Retin-A, and it is expected
that after using the medicine for
at least 3 weeks wrinkles begin to
diminish.
Ingredients:
The chief ingredient in Retin-A is
Tretinoin: it is a yellow or light
orange crystalline powder. It has
an odor that is quite different because
of its floral effect. Tretinoin dissolves
in dimethylsulfoxide. It is slightly
soluble in polyethylene glycol 400,
and is completely soluble in 100%
ethanol. Tretinoin does not dissolve
in water and mineral oil and glycerin.
Tretinoin’s chemical name is
(all-E)-3,7?dimethyl-9?(2,6,6?trimethyl-1?cyclonexen-1?yl)-2,4,6,8?nonatetraenoic
acid. It is also known as all-trans?retinoic
acid (C20H28O2; molecular weight 300.44
vitamin A acid.
Chemistry:
Though the main ingredient of Retin-A
is in a crystalline powdered form
(Tretinoin), Retin-A is available
in the form of a Cream, Gel and Liquid.

and alcohol 90% w/w.
