Ingredients
ADIPEX has Phentermine hydrochloride as the main ingredient in all its capsules and tablets. Phentermine hydrochloride is white in color and has the characteristics of being odorless, hygroscopic and is like a crystalline powder which is fully capable of being dissolved in water and lower alcohols, to a certain extent can also be soluble in chloroform but is insoluble in ether.
Both the capsules and tablets contain 37.5 mg of Phentermine hydrochloride, which is the 30 mg of Phentermine base. The inactive ingredients are given for both the capsules and the tablets are given below.

Chemistry
A point worth remembering before starting on these medications is that it should never be taken while having other medications. If you do, it might disturb your digestive system and could cause further side effects. Also, there is a possibility of the medication not having any effect at all. The drug should never be consumed if one is taking fenfluramine (Pondimin). This is a weight loss drug and if ADIPEX-P is consumed while having this disastrous results could occur.
Allergies to the ingredient Phentermine Hydrochloride are known or any other medications that stimulate the nervous system the drug should not be used. It should also not be taken if you have a problem of hardening of the arteries, glaucoma or suffering from blood pressures that are high. This also goes for the fact that if antidepressants are consumed in the last couple of days.
Dosage
ADIPEX-P should not be taken more than what’s prescribed. A change in prescription should only be made on the advice of the doctor. Dosages if missed should be taken as soon as its remembered but if the dosage to be taken next is near than the dosage should be skipped and the next dosage should be taken. Double dosages should be avoided at all costs. Taking double dosages does not have any life threatening issues but if it is taken it should be taken seriously and should be reported to the doctor or the nearest poison center should be informed.
This medication should be taken before breakfast. The dosage requires you to take the medication every four to six hours before one goes to sleep at night. This medication should be kept in a cool and dry place and should be kept out of children’s reach.
