Buspirone is the active ingredient
that is found in BuSpar. BuSpar
is a medication that is used
for the relief for the symptoms
of anxiety. Buspirone, when
present in BuSpar, is known
as Buspirone Hydrochloride.
This is a white crystalline
powder, which
is soluble in
water and has a molecular weight
of 422.0.
BusPar is available in different
strengths. The different strengths
that are available of Buspirone
Hydrochloride in BusPar are
5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, or 30 mg.
The tablets available are scored,
which means that they can be
dissected and halved. This means
that you can take a smaller
amount of the original strength
of the tablet. If you dissect
a 5 mg, and take one half it
means you have consumed only
2.5 mg.
BuSpar contains the following
inactive ingredients which are
present in all BusPar tablets.
• Colloidal Silicon Dioxide,
• Lactose,
• Magnesium Stearate,
• Microcrystalline Cellulose,
and
• Sodium Starch glycolate.
• Iron Oxide.(only present
in the 30-mg tablet)
The 15mg and the 30mg tablets
are made in the DIVIDOSE®
tablet design. This means that
the 15mg and the 30mg tablets
can be bisected or trisected
as desired.
Chemistry
Buspar should be taken on prescription
from a doctor and should not
be consumed over an extended
period. This is because this
would increase the chances of
you experiencing side effects.
BusPar may take as long as
a week or two for effects of
the medication to become noticeable.
Before you can experience what
bad effects it will have on
you it is better for you to
consult a doctor before taking
this medication. Your doctor
will give you specific directions
on how to use this medication.
The

If you have any allergies to
Busporine, foods, preservatives,
or dyes, BusPar should be avoided.
There are no studies that have
been done on the effects of
Buspar on children.
Buspar should not been given
to children under the age of
eighteen.
Some of the medications to be
avoided while having BusPar
include: Erythromycin or Itraconazole.
Your doctor may change the dosage
according to what is required.
Taking buspar while you are
taking MAO inhibitors can cause
one to suffer from high blood
pressure.
Dosage
BusPar is taken twice a day.
Usually 7.5mg tablets are consumed
according to this dosage. Your
doctor may increase the dosage
by 5 mg after a few days. Increasing
the dosage can only be done
on the advice of your doctor.
Children who are under the age
of 18 should seek a doctor’s
advice regarding how much they
should take.
If you miss a dose, you should
take it as soon as you remember.
However, if the next dose to
be taken is very near, you should
skip the missed dose and take
the next scheduled one. You
should not double the dosage.
