Ingredients
Buspirone is the active ingredient that is found in products such as BuSpar, BuSpar DIVIDOSE. Buspirone is an ingredient that is present in medication that is used for the relief for the symptoms of anxiety. Buspirone when present in medication such as BuSpar, BuSpar DIVIDOSE is known as Buspirone Hydrochloride this is a white crystalline powder which is soluble in water and has a molecular weight of 422.0. Busporine is available in different strengths in the different products that have Buspirone.
The different strengths that Buspirone Hydrochloride is available in BuSpar, BuSpar DIVIDOSE is approximately 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, or 30 mg, respectively. The tablets available are scored, which means that they can be dissected and halved. This further means that you can take smaller amounts of the original strength of the tablet. If you dissect a 5 mg pill and take one half, it means you have consumed only 2.5 mg.
The tablet in which Buspirone is associated contains the following inactive ingredients.
• Colloidal Silicon Dioxide,
• Lactose,
• Magnesium Stearate,
• Microcrystalline Cellulose, and
• Sodium Starch glycolate.
• Iron Oxide.(only present in the 30-mg tablet)
For products which offer a higher strength of tablets is made in the DIVIDOSE® tablet design. The tablet can be bisected and trisected so that it can be used as smaller amounts.
Chemistry
Medications that have Buspirone as a main ingredient should be taken on how the doctor advices. Medicines that have Buspirone included in them should not be consumed for long as they could result in various undesired side effects. When the need of taking medications which have Buspirone in them arises one should consult a doctor. This is because the medicine is not to be had with certain medications and with people who are in certain medical conditions. While you are talking to a doctor the following things should be told to the doctor. This is necessary in deciding what dosages are suitable and whether Buspirone related products are right for you. You need to keep the following in mind.
Any allergies to Buspirone or foods, dyes the intake of Buspirone related products should not be consumed. There have been no studies that have been conducted on children. This medication is not to be administered to children unless a physician deems it necessary. Some medications which should be avoided while having medications with Buspirone in them are Erythromycin or Itraconazole, Monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor activity, phenelzine , selegiline at doses more than 10 mg a day. If in the event you are taking Monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor then Buspirone products should not be taken after 2 weeks of finishing the dose of MAO.
Dosage
The dosage will not be the same for every individual. The normal dosage for Buspirone products is a pill of 7.5mg that is taken twice a day. The dose could be increased slowly by the doctor if s/he thinks that the current dosage is not enough for you. The doctor will decide on whether or not a child can consume products that contain Buspirone.
If a dose is missed, it should be skipped if it is too close to the next dose. However, if there is sufficient time left for the next dose, it should be taken as soon as it is remembered. |
