Flexeril should be taken on the advice of your doctor. The medicine should not be taken for longer than the prescribed period of time. Doing so will increase the chances of you getting serious side effects. It is further suggested that you let your doctor be the one to suggest the amount of Flexeril you take and for how long you are supposed to have it.

The dosage will be prescribed to you once you have told you doctor about your medical history and if you have any current medical conditions. With this information you should also tell him/her what medicines you have been taking.

Some conditions that you should be careful about is Glaucoma, urination problem (Cyclobenzaprine can make this problem worse), and Overactive thyroid. Some medications and beverages that you should be extra careful of while you are consuming Flexeril are medications that interact with the Central Nervous System (CNS), such as Alcohol, and Tricylic antidepressants.

Flexeril can cause one to have blurred visions, or become less alert, drowsy, etc. When you are using this medication, be sure you know how to deal with these side effects, especially if you work in places that are dangerous or even driving.
