Ingredients of Phentermine
Phentermine is made up of approximately
30 mg of Phentermine Hydrochloride
which is consistent in each tablet.
This chemical is white in color and
is easily dissolved in water and alcohol.
The chemical name of the pill that
is taken is called phenyl-tertiary-butylamine
hydrochloride.
There are some inactive ingredients
that make up the rest of the tablet
some of these ingredients are F D
& C Blue 1, Methylcellulose, Polyethylene
Glycol, Starch, Titanium Dioxide,
Sucrose and Invert Sugar. The wording
on the Gelatin tablets is done by
using Ethyl Alcohol, F D & C Blue
1 Aluminum Lake, Isopropyl Alcohol,
n-Butyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol,
Pharmaceutical Shellac (modified)
or Refined Shellac (Food Grade).
Chemistry using Phentermine
The medication is not to be had while
having other medications or while
being treated for other complications.
This is due to the reason because
of the fact that the medications or
complications could interact with
each other and have an adverse effect
or no effect on ones health. Phentermine
pills should not be taken if you are
suffering from Diabetes, high blood
pressure, glaucoma, or have emotional
problems. People should avoid these
pills if they consume alcohol too
much or if they are pregnant.
Dosage using Phentermine
The recommended dosage of Phentermine
is one tablet a day on an empty stomach.
The recommended time of having the
medication is before breakfast. The
dosage may vary to every individual;
the change from the regular dosage
decision is made by the doctor and
should not be changed in under any
circumstances unless specified by
the doctor.
If one is taking more than one pill
a day then the duration of the pills
is one in the morning before breakfast
and the other one approximately four
to six hours before going to sleep.
If you miss a dosage it should be
taken when remembered. However if
the time elapsed is close to the next
dosage skip the dosage and start with
the new dosage. Never double the dosage.
Although there are no life threatening
issues involved with overdosing the
medication, but its always good to
have it checked out by the local poison
center or in case of an emergency
it would be ideal to call 911.
The pill should be taken with a glass
full of water and should never be
chewed or crushed. Doing so has known
to upset normal sleeping patterns.
This medication should not be given
to children below the age of sixteen
as the drug is not meant for children
under that age. All drugs should be
kept in a cool and dry and away from
the reach of children.
