does not really have to let wrinkles
take control and let one look
old. Renova is a treatment that
can prevent ageing and wrinkling
and is believed to have had significant
success.
Ingredients:
Renova is a prescribed treatment
for ageing and wrinkling of
the skin. The main ingredient
in Renova is tretinoin gel microsphere
with formulation of 0.1% and
0.04%, by weight.
Tretinoin is meant for topical
application, and is especially
suited to treating acne vulgaris.
The ingredients include: methyl
methacrylate/glycol dimethacrylate
crosspolymer porous microspheres.
This allows an inclusion of
tretinoin, in an aqueous form.
In addition to this the following
are included:
• purified
water,
• disodium EDTA,
• propylene glycol,
• sorbic acid,
• PPG-20 methyl glucose
ether distearate,
• carbomer 974P (0.04%
formulation),
• carbomer 934P (0.1%
formulation),
• glycerin,
• cyclomethicone and dimethicone
copolyol,
• benzyl alcohol,
• trolamine,
• butylated hydroxytoluene.
Chemistry:
Tretinoin is an all- trans -retinoic
acid, which is also called (all-
E)-3,7-dimethyl-9-(2,6,6-trimethyl-1-cyclohexen-1-yl)-2,4,6,8-nonatetraenoic
acid. Tretinoin belongs to the
retinoid series of compounds.
It also belongs to a metabolite
of Vitamin A.
Dosage:
If you happen to miss out on
a dose, you should take the
missed dose as soon as you remember
it. If you happen to remember
your dose too close to your
next dose, then you might as
well just take the next dose.
This means that you have to
forget about the dose you missed
out on.
You should apply
Renova to your skin just once
a day, preferably before bed
time. You cannot take the medication
by mouth. You are advised to
strictly follow the instructions
that are mentioned on the packing.
Applying too much
Renova may trigger irritation.
Also note that applying more
than the recommended amount
of the medicine will not yield
better results. Therefore, you
stand more to lose when you
apply too much.
Avoid applying Renova when you
have make-up on or any other
application on your skin.
When
applying any product as Renova
that has Tretinoin in it, you
should wait at least 20-30 minutes
prior to applying
it. This will lower the chances
of irritation. Use about quarter
of an inch of the medicine or
less for each application. |
