There are a few things that
one needs to be careful while
taking these drugs and that
is these drugs can interact
with other drugs and can be
less effective or can have adverse
opposite reactions when had
with them. Some of the medications
that one should be careful are
Carbamazepine & inhibitors.
Carbamazepine has a history
of having a high metabolism
rate of the active ingredient
and can also be the reason to
seizure attacks in most people.
People when continuing this
drug should seek a doctors’
advice as the medicine is disagreeable
with some medications; if Tramadol
is discontinued abruptly some
withdrawal symptoms will occur.
Some of the symptoms could include
but not limited to diarrhea,
nausea, upper respiratory symptoms
and a few others. According
to clinical experience these
effect of the withdrawal symptoms
can be relieved through reduction
of the medicine and through
careful monitoring of the symptoms.

The dosage of these medicines
should start at a small amount
and then gradually increased.
The dosage usually starts with
25mg a day and then gradually
increased after three days to
50 mg a day and so on till it
reaches 200mg a day. You should
remember that the dosage should
never be increased to more than
400 mg a day. The amount needed
to have per day of the analgesic
would be recommended by the
doctor.
One should not over dose the
medication. Over dosages can
prove to have very disastrous
results and could prove for
one to have respiratory depression,
cardiac arrest, lethargy and
comma. If you have overdosed
you should visit your local
poison center or your doctor
immediately.
