ULTRACET™ consists of a combination
of acetaminophen and Tramadol, a combination
that is said to be the perfect formula
for relieving pain. It would also
be relevant to acknowledge that acetaminophen
is one of the most commonly used drugs
and is found all across the US in
the form of an over-the-counter drug.
Each tablet contains 37.5 mg of Tramadol
and 325 mg of acetaminophen. Acetaminophen
is an ingredient that is present in
most analgesic tablets; it is white
in color, odorless and has a slight
bitter taste. The tablets are light
yellow in color.
ULTRACET has the following inactive
ingredients in all its tablets
• Powdered Cellulose,
• Pre gelatinized Starch,
• Sodium Starch Glycolate,
• Starch,
• Purified Water,
• Magnesium Stearate,
• OPADRY® Light Yellow,
and
• Carnauba wax.
Chemistry of
Ultracet
Ultracet should not be taken when
you are suffering from liver diseases.
The medication should not be taken
when you are on other medications
and inhibitors, such as Tricyclic
antidepressants, SSRIs, and Opioid.
ULTRACET should not be given to people
who have a history of drug abuse or
a history of being drug dependent.
Before you can start on ULTRACET,
it is advised that you seek a doctor’s
advice. This condition is also applicable
when you want to stop the medication.
If you stop the medication abruptly,
there are some withdrawal symptoms
that will be noticed, and those effects
will go away with further medication
and close monitoring.
Your doctor should be forewarned
of all medical conditions that could
be current or previous. If you are
allergic to the main ingredients of
the tablet, Ultracet should not be
consumed.
Dosage while
using Ultracet
The dosage of this medication should
followed carefully, and you should
never consume more than what is prescribed.
The drug is only meant for a short
period, and after that, the dosage
should be discontinued.
The dosage of this drug is two tablets
to be taken after every two to four
hours. The maximum that you can have
in a day is 8 tablets and nothing
more than that. The drug dosage should
be controlled by your doctor and should
be used as is directed by him. Older
people should be cautious while taking
ULTRACET. This is because they are
more capable of suffering from adverse
effects than anyone else. |
