Chemistry
of Ultram
People who use ULTRAM should
be careful while using this
medication while they are using
other medicines. Medications
that one should be very careful
are the following:
Carbamazepine: while taking
this medication it should be
noted that ULTRAM can have decreased
effects as an analgesic. This
is due to the fact that Carbamazepine
increases the rate of tramadol
metabolism, since the risk is
greatly increased of one getting
seizures from tramadol it is
best that ULTRAM should not
be taken while taking Carbamazepine.
Uses with inhibitors such as
CYP2D6 & MAO, these inhibitors
have a history of detoxification
with some of centrally acting
drugs that are available.
In light of the above mentioned
precautionary that one has to
take care of before taking the
drug it would be nice to visit
the doctor and tell him/ her
about the medical conditions
that you are facing, what allergies
you have and are taking any
medications. So that they can
direct you as to how much of
ULTRAM is good for you.
