Vaniqa is used to remove troubling
facial hair. It does not stop
the growth of facial hair, but
plays a major part in making
this hair growth more manageable,
by first breaking down a chief
enzyme in facial hair growth.
This slows the growth process,
and makes it easier for you
to carry out hair removal procedures
with lower frequency.
Ingredients:
Vaniqa’s chief ingredient
that helps to break down facial
hair growth enzymes in the follicles
is anhydrous eflornithine hydrochloride.
This main ingredient proportion
is 13.9% (139 mg/g), existing
as (150 mg/g) of eflornithine
hydrochloride monohydrate.
In addition to this chief ingredient,
there are others that make Vaniqa
what it is as a product you
receive. Vaniqa contains:
• ceteareth-20,
• glyceryl stearate,
• methylparaben,
• mineral oil,
• PEG-100 stearate,
• phenoxyethanol,
• propylparaben,
• cetearyl alcohol,
• dimethicone,
• stearyl alcohol and
water.
Chemistry:
Eflornithine hydrochloride is
(±) -2-(difluoromethyl)
ornithine monohydrochloride
monohydrate. It has an empirical
formula: C 6 H 12 F 2 N 2 O
2 •HCl• H 2 O, and
a molecular weight: 236.65.
Dosage:
Vaniqa is to be taken according
to the instructions on the package
or in accordance what your doctor
says. Usually, Vaniqa is applied
twice daily. These applications

of the skin that are damaged.

to areas of the skin that have
unwanted hair. (If you are unclear
on any thing related to applying
Vaniqa cream you should ask
your pharmacist or doctor).
Vaniqa should be applied for
a minimum of fours hours. This
is the adequate amount of time
required for it to take effect
on your facial hair. The next
dose should be eight hours away
from the first one, and this
means that you will start counting
the number of hours in between
doses from the time the first
dose ends.
Specific Technique: After your
usual hair removal procedure
(plucking, shaving, etc.) it
is better for you to start applying
Vaniqa five minutes after. The
cream should be rubbed in and
left for the recommended four
hours.
You may use make up after applying
Vaniqa cream, but your skin
should be dried thoroughly;
make sure all of the applied
Vaniqa cream is absorbed into
your skin. |
